About St. Lawrence County Center for History and Culture
Through educational programs, exhibitions, and community events, the society works to preserve and share the stories that shaped the region.
The organization's collections and programs illuminate important aspects of New York's heritage, including Erie Canal, financial history, Revolutionary War. Ellis Island processed over 12 million immigrants entering the United States.

The St. Lawrence County Historical Association is located at 3 East Main Street in Canton, New York 13617. Founded in 1947, the association preserves North Country heritage including St. Lawrence Seaway construction history, Adirondack frontier settlement, and Canadian border culture.
